About Safe Ag Systems
Safe Ag Systems is a global-facing AgTech Software as a Service (SaaS) company that is passionate about transforming how agribusinesses manage their operations. Having recently celebrated our 10‑year anniversary, we are proud to deliver a web and mobile SaaS solution that contributes towards making agricultural workplaces safer for all.
Our teams are primarily based in Australia, with a growing presence in South Korea.
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Quality Engineer to help drive the next stage of our quality maturity.
As our engineering capability has grown, so has the need for scalable quality practices. This role combines hands-on testing with test automation and quality improvement initiatives, helping ensure we can continue to deliver high-quality software as our platform and development output expand.
We are looking for someone who has successfully implemented automated testing in a commercial environment and can help us build sustainable, long-term quality control capability while continuing to support hands-on testing activities where required.
You will work closely with Product, Development and Business stakeholders to improve release confidence, strengthen testing practices and introduce meaningful automation that delivers measurable business value.
What You'll Do
Test Automation
- Design and implement an automated testing approach suitable for our products and technology stack
- Identify and prioritise high-value user workflows for automation
- Build and maintain automated regression tests
- Deliver incremental automation outcomes that provide immediate business value
- Collaborate with developers to integrate automated testing into the software delivery process
- Continuously improve automation coverage and reliability over time
Quality Assurance
- Perform hands-on testing across web and mobile applications
- Design and execute test plans, test cases and exploratory testing activities
- Validate new features, enhancements and bug fixes prior to release
- Investigate, reproduce and document customer-reported issues
- Assess release readiness and identify areas of risk
- Support root cause analysis for production issues
About You
- As the successful candidate, you:
- Have extensive experience in software testing and quality assurance
- Have successfully implemented or significantly expanded automated testing in a commercial software environment
- Take ownership of outcomes and focus on delivering measurable results
- Understand that automation is a tool for improving quality and scalability, not an objective in itself
- Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Enjoy solving problems and investigating complex issues
- Can balance pragmatism with quality and risk management
- Thrive in a collaborative remote-working environment
Required Experience
- Ability to independently drive quality initiatives from concept through to delivery
- 5+ years' experience in a senior software testing, quality assurance or quality engineering role
- Demonstrated experience implementing automated testing within a commercial software environment
- Experience building and maintaining automated regression test suites
- Experience testing complex web applications
- Experience testing mobile applications
- Experience working closely with software development teams
- Strong defect investigation and troubleshooting skills
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
Highly Regarded
- Experience with some or all of the following:
- Playwright, Cypress, Selenium or similar automation frameworks
- Mobile automation tools such as Appium
- Quality metrics, reporting and governance frameworks
- Azure DevOps and CI/CD pipelines
- Testing applications built across multiple technology platforms
- Microsoft-based web applications
- JavaScript-based single-page applications
- Xamarin or .NET MAUI mobile applications
- SaaS products and cloud-hosted software platforms
- SQL and data validation activities
- Performance, load or security testing
- Jira
Our Technology Environment
- Our platform includes:
- Microsoft-based web applications
- Vue.js/JavaScript/TypeScript single-page applications
- .NET MAUI mobile applications

- Experience with these technologies is advantageous but not essential

- Within your first 12 months you will have:
- Implemented solid automated test coverage across critical business workflows
- Reduced manual regression effort through practical automation
- Improved confidence and predictability of software releases
- Introduced scalable quality practices that support company growth
- Established meaningful quality metrics and reporting
- Become a trusted advisor on quality across Product and Engineering teams
