Seeking Participants for Ophthalmology Research Study
We are looking for volunteers to participate in a clinical research study evaluating a vision screening tool,
the HOCT-1F (Huvitz, Korea), at Dankook University Hospital.
The device used in this study is KFDA-approved and has been commercially available since 2006.
This study aims to evaluate the repeatability and image quality of this device specifically in a NON-ASIAN population.
Please note: The device used in this study is for imaging/screening purposes and is not a therapeutic (treatment) device.

Who Can Participate?
- We are seeking individuals who meet the following criteria:
- Non-Asian Descent: Individuals who are NOT of Asian descent. (
(You are considered of Asian descent if at least one parent is Asian).
- Age: 22 – 65 years old.
Health Status: We are looking for participants in the following groups:
+ Normal (Healthy eyes)
+ Glaucoma
+ Retinal Conditions
(If you are unsure of your status, you will likely be placed in the 'Normal' group after your clinic visit).
Location: Must be able to make a single visit to our clinic in Cheonan.
- A comprehensive eye examination by professional ophthalmologists (including Visual Acuity tests).
(The visit will take approximately 1 to 2 hours at the hospital).
Compensation:
- ₩300,000 KRW will be provided for your time and travel expenses upon completion.
Important: You must have a Korean bank account under your own name to receive the transfer.
If you do not have one, a gift of equivalent value will be provided instead.
