Looking for a substitute teacher for someone out three months (for a family emergency). American-owned hagwon, immersion English classes. Classes will be a mix of lower and middle levels; ages range from Kindy up to 3rd or 4th grade. It's a good environment to teach in: the kids really do speak English (with the higher levels, quite fluently); almost all are well-behaved, and none are spoiled. Also, no micro-managing.
We prefer someone with some experience subbing - being able to jump in on an existing curriculum and hit the ground running.
Schedule:
Mondays and Tuesdays: 2:00 to 7:00
Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays: 2:00 to 6:00
Offering:
Depending on experience, 2.5 to 3 million/month
Location:
Gangnam-gu Segok-dong, about a 10 minute bus ride from Suseo Station (Line 3 or Bundang Line).
Starts around January 21 (though we'd like to do at least a day or two of training before then), lasts for approximately three months (until late April). There's some possibility of it turning into a permanent job, if that's something you'd be interested in.
